BaubleBar Ambassador!! // Madelhari Warrior Bib

Super excited to announce that I am now a BaubleBar Ambassador!! Accessories have the power to complete, if not elevate any look, so I was especially proud to stand behind one of the leading jewelry brands of our generation. Who can resist the youthfully modern, sumptuous baubles at reasonable prices? The one featured in this look is the BaubleBar Madelhari warrior bib, which you can snag here. Don’t you love the name of this piece?? I am obsessed with this over-the-top, unapologetic design – replete with rhinestones, metal, and tribal shapes! Ok, full confession: I chose this style because it was ever so redolent of Dylanlex pieces. Yes, the outlandishly exhibitionistic pieces with $500+ price tags! Unless you’ve been hiding under the rock the last 3 years, you’ve seen the likes of Gigi, Kendall, and We Wore What sporting them over their classic white Ts. This is why I really admire Baublebar. It completely democratizes High Street fashion by re-inventing what seemed unaffordable and bringing it to Main Street. I first fell in love with Baublebar when they collaborated with Ms. Glamorazzi back in the day. And then their collab with Olivia Palermo. To DIE for. I snagged the coveted pieces and cherish them still to this day 🙂

Make no mistake – You will be seen/noticed/heard with this statement necklace! People often like to play down hyperbolic pieces with understated ones but I went all out here with my intergalactic silver A-line skirt for maximum sparkle effect. Sometimes a streak of sartorial flamboyance is just what we need to spice up an ordinary day. Jazz up yours by experimenting with visual extremes –  go for the riotous combos in colors and patterns and designs. Who said everything has to be easy on the eye? Moderation is a fatal thing…(For bonus points, who said these famous words???).

SoulCycle // Summer Workout Routine

Now that we are smack down in the middle of summer, I thought I would update you guys on my fitness routine. My main form of exercise recently has been in the form of hardcore, indoor cycling, otherwise known as SoulCycle. I’ll go however many times my body can handle each week (if you’ve been, you will agree that soreness is inevitable), but on off-days, I’ll just hop on the treadmill for 15-20 minutes. Nothing too complicated, as it is the season of R&R!! However, this does not mean that I won’t be in workout clothes for a vast majority of the time–I practically live in them on off-duty days.

Down belowwww…Outfit, Workout, Post-Workout Smoothie

I’ll be doing many more fitness outfits in the near future, but just for reference, some of my favorite stores recently have been Bandier and Carbon 38 (best range of athleticwear–and so one-off!). My leggings are from Alo Yoga, which are available from both retailers. They are titled “moto leggings” which is rather fitting as they do resemble black pants with moto detailing. Talk about fashion doubling as sportswear.

As for the green top in this look from Lululemon, it’s out of stock unfortunately, but I’m sure you can find something similar from another brand. I love its simultaneous form and function so much that I bought it in three different colors, which I normally never do as I get really bored of the same style…It offers medium support, so you can really wear it to anything from jogging to yoga. I’ll link it down below anyway!

2ndhand Stories:: Edition 2: Luxury for Less

If I were to list a few of the labels featured here,  you wouldn’t really guess that they were from a secondhand source:  Céline, Rag & Bone, Tibi. Words like “thrifted” or “secondhand” wouldn’t come to mind… With secondhand shopping comes the experience of owning pre-loved items of stylish fashionistas. It’s a rather transformative way of dressing, and wearing clothing with unknown past can add an element of mystique and excitement. Did my dress come from a specialty boutique store in England / France/ Spain/ Singapore from someone whose grandmother passed it on to her daughter to her daughter in the States who gave it to her friend who eventually donated it to this brick-and-mortar/online  store??  Your dress has a story…

~TIP 2: If you’re looking for luxury items, the best place to look is online, not in store. Up to date items will be on sites such as Tradesy or The Real Real from sellers who want to get rid of relatively current items that they are tired of wearing. Chances are, you will find a plethora of very beautiful items marked down by 50-70% from retail prices just because they have been worn once or twice.
